A friend of mine signed up for a trapeze class a few weeks ago. Before she was allowed to join, the school asked her to sign a waiver acknowledging that she didn’t have health insurance, and that she recognized the inherent risk of swinging around high in space. It’s another interesting example of how, with no change in our current health care coverage system, your health insurance status might someday dictate what you’re able to do for work and pleasure.
